Talked to Nick on AIM and he mentioned a group called Engineers Without Borders. Man. If you saw my post last semester about Amy Smith you'd know this is right up my alley. Too bad I'm not an engineer. Too bad its too late to switch. Maybe grad school. Who knows. Good thing my major is so open-ended.
I'm playing with Soul Factor tomorrow night, then Friday, then Saturday. Oh my goodness. Here's hoping I don't suck (like I did in jazz band today). You people should show up. As long as I don't bring the group down it should be great. Freddie Mendoza (a funk trombonist) will be playing with us at Penny Lane Thursday night. We're also playing Penny Lane this Saturday night.
My solo this semester is "The Hunting of the Snark" and it is amazing. It'll really push me as a player, which I need now, and its just so much fun to play. Pedal F's just aren't in enough pieces. And I like the fact that it doesn't have a meter, it gives me the opportunity to make my own decisions and take chances and whatnot.
I wish my ear would go ahead and pop. Its been a week now.
This house is growing on me. Good guys. Luckily I haven't had a bad roommate experience ever. I hope I keep it up.
I need to do my laundry. And the Electrodynamics homework. This has been an unusually big post.
